Gostei do passeio a Chichen Itzá, porém, achei muito chatas as visitas ao cenote e às lojas para compras.Creio que seria muito mais proveitoso se nós fôssemoos direto a Chichen, pois o passeio, ao invés de ter a duração de 1 dia, seria somente a metade disto e sobraria mais tempo para nós fazermos as nossas compras por conta própria.

Sugiro que o passeio inclua a visita ao Observatório e ao restante do sítio arqueológico de Chichen Itza podendo retirar-se do passeio a visita ao cenote maia, que, embora muito interessante, rouba tempo. A parte da visita a Valadolid tb deixa a desejar, é tao rápida que sequer dá para conhecer as principais atracoes do centro histórico.

Description
Chichen Itza is stuated 205 Kms away from Cancún, on the same highway that goes towards Mérida.
Chichen Itza is the more spectacular ceremonial center and was the most important city during the splendid period of the Mayan culture.
Founded in 445 d.C., by an ethnic group, Chichen Itza knew how to impose itself until becoming a religious and obligatory center.
With the Toltecas invasion, a cultural fusion took place between Mayas and Totecas; this fusion is reflected on the constructions we know today as La Pirámide a Kukulkan, El Templo de los Guerreros, El Juego de Pelota, El Cementerio y el Cenote de los Sacrificios.
The pure Maya Puuc style still lasts at the oldest parts of the construction, which are known as El Observatorio, El Osario, El templo de las Monjas y del Venado.
In 1204 d.C, inhabitants leave their magnificent city, being a mystery until today.
In La Pirámide de Kukulkan, during each equinox (March ans September 21st – 22nd), the reflection of sunbeams on one of the faces of the pyramid is projected on the stairs of the east side, creating the illusion of the descent of the feathered serpent to the earth.
Thousands of tourists visit this place at this time of the year, some with metaphysical purposes, because they think these are the days when more energy is projected there.
At night, a spectacular show of light and sound is carried out, to revive the story told by the old books.
