Los Naranjos Hotel
no hot water when i checked in!

Linares Inn
We liked everything about this B & B except there was very little choice at breakfast and the cake was stale and the fact that the bed was awful. We had a small double bed which was very uncomfortable, the mattress being too bouncy. The sheets were too small and would not tuck in - we got no sleep.

Ushuaia Hotel
This hotel was OK. Room didn´t have central ventilation and was on the lowest floor, which seemed slightly underground and dark--not ideal. Walls pretty thin. Location was pretty but a bit of a hike uphill from the downtown (better than many Ushuaia hotels however). Front desk people were nice and the room and bathroom were very clean. On the expensive side for what I got, but that was typical of Ushuaia.

Cabo San Diego Apart Hotel
The rooms are very big, spacious and really clean, and the prices are completely reasonable. Management was super friendly (although did not speak English very well) and the location was only a short walk to the main street. Overall, an excellent choice!!!!!

About InterHabit
difficulty to deal with individual hotels in English, lack of direct access to hotels (no email addresses or no answers to emails in English), lack of local knowledge, being able to compare a number of hotels and their prices on line

Bella Vista Inn
The owner/manager speaks excellent English and has a lot of local knowledge, provided a lot of support and advice during our stay, tried very hard to help. She was fantastic! The room was slightly small, but we travel with more luggage (diving and camera gear) than most. It was incredibly clean and really nice. Breakfast included scrambled eggs, which was really nice as the weather was getting colder, but I was disappointed that the Fuegian version was not available due to seasonality. We also had one other meal in the restaurant which was really nice and very reasonably priced. The place is a bit out of town but the taxis are cheap and we walked as well (about 45 minutes walk). Nice surroundings, beautiful view from the dining room. Free access to wifi was also great. No bath or sink plugs - but that seems to be South American standard?

Boat Tour Isla de los Lobos & Penguin Colony
loved it! Much better than the short tours available in Ushuaia!

About InterHabit
Didn't realise how difficult it was to book in early March in Ushuaia, had problems contacting hotels directly and agents in Australia offered really high (almost twice as high) prices for the same hotels.

Ushuaia Hotel
Fantastic views, beautiful location close to walking tracks and walking distance from town, very good food (both breakfast and room service), free wireless access, very clean rooms (but missed the bath robes promised on the internet...), English speaking receptionists - we would stay here again and recommend this hotel to others

Friendly people, check-in time is better when it is before noon. Recommendeble adress.

Linares Inn
The Owner is most helpful with things to do and contacts. Great views, wonderfully furnished bedrooms and communal rooms - like living in an antique collector's home - perhaps we were!

Monaco Hotel
Price is too much expensive from the infrastructure view point. Building and room are too old.

Very nice location right in town so you can walk all over. Very close to the cruise ship dock, if that is your reason for being there.

I like where it is located but could be better in two main points: breakfast and bed. Despite these, the overal rate is good.

Cabo San Diego Apart Hotel
Huge room(flat) with all the accomodations we can wait with these prices. The owner arranged us a round trip transfer to Cerro Castor for a small price (smaller than the one provided by local companies) We really enjoyed that stay Much better quality/price than Lennox hotel where we spent 2 nights
Nicolas DELPY - PARIS, France - Posted: 18/12/2007

Hannus Cottages
Clean and pleasant cabins; helpful owner. Location is about 2km from town centre making for a pleasant walk - suited us well. We stayed for 4nights as planned. Included breakfast (bread, jam, milk) for the first morning.

Very nice accomodation in Ushuaia, you feel like home... Pefection would be with a stronger bigger breakfast

Lennox Hotel
I would not recommend the Lennox to people who are sensible to noise. Rooms are not insulated enough. There is no space arround the sink. Breakfast is rather poor for a 4* Hotel

La Casa de Alba Bed & Breakfast
No hot water in the shower, and the owner did not try to fix it or give us another room. A cold shower after being out all day in the snow and sleet was extreemeny disapointing

Los Nires Hotel
We liked the hotel very much but were disappointed with the shuttle service to town and Cerro Castor. You need to provide more shuttle service to your clients. Also, I recommend either fresh fruits or fresh orange juice for breakfast.

We enjoyed Mary very much and she was able to answer all of our questions. We felt safe with our driver, who was very good. We would recommend your company to our family and friends should they ever choose Ushuaia as a travel destination.

Los Nires Hotel
We stayed two separate times at Los Nires. Both times the service was excellent. However, the walls are thin and we could hear the guests in the next room. Also, the TV in the hotel lounge gets many cable channels, while the TV in our room on the first visit got only 2 channels(non-cable) and the TV in the room on our second visit didn't work at all. (Very old equipment.) We know that Ushuaia does get several cable options from our visit to Cabo San Diego Apart Hotel.

Nice hotel just off main Rd in Ushiaia. Friendly/helpful staff. Acoustics did mean that the sound of noisy residents was amplified

Pour les touristes français, ce lieu est vraiment un endroit idéal pour se reposer un peu loin du centre mais trés facile d'accés avec les nombreux taxis d'Ushuaia ( environ 5 pesos )

Alem Apart Hotel
We were disappointed to find that the kitchen in this "aparthotel" had absolutely no cooking implements, which pretty much makes the "apart" meaningless. The hotel also charges 10% extra for paying with a credit card, which is illegal, we were later told. The rooms were uninviting. We left after one night of a planned three-night stay.

Hostería Las Rocios
I guess it was okay. I was not totally enthused about the room quality, but I imagine that in view of the price and the fact that the owner & staff were very friendly and helpful, it was fine.

Apart Hotel Aires del Beagle
The appartments for 2 are on the groundfloor, have no view at all, are noisy. We were disappointed, also about the breakfast (maybe because of Christmas). Staff however is very friendly and helpful.

Aldea Nevada Cottages
Its been a great stay and the staff has been very helpful and location is just out of the world. We loved the cottages being nestled in the woods and my 2 boys had a great time running all around. If I may say so, the breakfast can do with some improvement (if you could provide fresh bread/pastries etc). Thank you very much for making our stay so wonderful. We were fortunate to have stumbled across you on Interhabit
