This was an excellent and mind blowing tour. The train ride was very nice with great scenery. Clean train with good food served. Machu Picchu exceeded our expectations. It was just incredible that such an excellent architectural masterpiece would be built on top of a hill several centuries ago. A must visit

o resumo final foi bom,porém faltou um pouco mais de cordialidade por parte do motorista da van e da primeira pessoa da agencia a qual tivemos contato em cusco.e uma explicação melhor de qto tempo gastariamos e qual meios de transporte iamos usar..o percurso feito de van (cusco a ollaytambo)foi terrivel o motorista um tanto imprudente em uma estrada razoavelmente perigosa,assustador(não recomendaria).o percurso de trem foi maravilhoso,um serviço nota dez realizado pela machu picchu train,pessoal de bordo super agradavel e um serviço de primeira classe.a nossa guia tb em machu picchu excelente.

Description

Passengers are picked up at their hotels very early in order to travel by train to Aguas Calientes town (2,040 meters/6,692 ft above sea level). From there, a guide will take passengers on a bus tour heading for the wonderful Machu Picchu citadel (2,400 meters/ 7,874 ft above sea level).

The visit to the Sanctuary will take around 3 hours and visitors will walk around the citadel and its palaces and temples, houses and storehouses, and buildings intended for religious ceremonies, such as the luxurious and amazing carved-stone mausoleums. Visitors will have a chance to see the system of streets, paths and stairs connecting buildings, squares and platforms making up the urban sector.

Later, there will be a break to take photos and walk around the citadel until 3:55 p.m., when the train leaves from Aguas Calientes to Cusco (3,350 meters/ 10,990 ft above sea level), arriving at around 8:20 p.m.
