Amazing day! A wonderful experience! The guides were great. The guide on the transfer was excellent. She educated us and told us what to expect. And the guides for the hike were terrific. They told us what to expect and I felt safe. And they showed us amazing things. So awesome. Well worth it! The glacier will amaze you!

Big Ice Tour
Only 1 gripe the tour started very well did the platform viewing etc, excellent. However when at the start point of the walk my wife and i were taken to one side and told we were to old for the walk. After some discussion the guide agreed to take us but on the understanding we were not insured. We did the walk a great experience , the guide apologised at the end as wew were obviously fitter than most on the tour. However as you can appreciate this was a very negative aspect for the trip for us.

DESCPRIPTION

The tour starts early in the morning, when passengers are picked up at their hotels and taken to Bajo de las Sombras port, where they get on board the “Tehuelche” boat to cross the Rico Arm and later disembark on the west bank around 10 minutes later.

There, an approach trek is started to explore every corner of Perito Moreno Glacier for about three hours; visitors will be provided with crampons to walk safely on the ice surface.

The tour is guided by experts along the paths on the southern moraine of Perito Moreno Glacier and, after an hour, it will reach a viewpoint from where the icecap will be accessed.

Once on the glacier, blue lakes, deep cracks, huge sinks and caves can be seen. Visitors will have half an hour for lunch, and they will walk back to the boat from the moraine, returning at around 3 pm.
