Description
The excursion begins at 7 a.m. from Calafate, we will take the mythical Route 40 of rubble bordering on the Argentine Lake, we will cross Santa Cruz River (here we will report Darwin's experiences together with Fitz), then we will continue up to The Leona River, where we will pass along its cañadón up to arrive to the Paso La Leona Hotel after 1 hour 15 minutes (Almost a museum of the Route 40), here you will be able to take a coffee with domestic cakes, from there we will continue bordering on the Lake Viedma, with the whole mountain chain of the Andes of bottom (Included the Fitz Roy and the Torre) up to the villa of mountain of The Chaltén, where we will arrive after 3 hs. of trip
Before coming to the village we will ascend a series of panoramic viewing-points of the mountain chain and of the Glacier Viedma.
Once in the Chalten we have several options (not incluidads in the price):
- Free trekking in the autoholding path that lead to the viewing-points most beautiful of Fitz Roy or Torre, where some food is delivered in order that you can have lunch enjoying the landscapes
- Lake of the Desert in a voyage combined of trekking short (1 hour each one) and 4X4 across the Cañadón of the Vueltas River. To the midday we will offer you a picnic in the mountain and also we will serve the snack with coffee or tea.
- Visit to the Fitz Roy Stay and the house of the Pioneer Andreas Madsen.
- Guided Horse riding of 4 hs of duration in average for the paths inside the National Park, which lead to the Fitz Roy and Hill Torre.
In the evening we will return to The Chalten approximately at 21:00.
