Tour Description
Access to the park is at Km 16 on Rodoviaria das Cataratas. Park hours are from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm (5:30 pm in winter)
The birds park preserves and exposes mainly birds of exotic colors and beauty framed by the exuberant vegetation of native jungle. It hosts 900 birds and 150 different species from Brazil and other countries. The park offers the possibility of interacting with species which are difficult to find and also educates on how to preserve them.
The premises cover 16 hectares but only 4 are for public use. Different species such as snakes, monkeys, colorful butterflies and alligators can be observed during the ride.
The marsh nursery, with its rustic bridge, is the most appreciated because of the direct contact with birds - toucans among them. By the end of the ride there is a craft shop where visitors can get ecological products to take home. The park has toilets and fast food shops
