This was an excellent and mind blowing tour. The train ride was very nice with great scenery. Clean train with good food served. Machu Picchu exceeded our expectations. It was just incredible that such an excellent architectural masterpiece would be built on top of a hill several centuries ago. A must visit

Excursion Día Completo Machu Picchu en Tren
Muy positiva a pesar del guia que nos asignaron,no era el que nos correspondia pero al ser los unicos españoles nos metio en un grupo con un guia que pasó de nosotros, pero como para nosotros lo importante era la visita pues ya habiamos leido bastante sobre Machu Pichu tambien pasamos de el.

Description

Passengers are picked up at their hotels very early in order to travel by train to Aguas Calientes town (2,040 meters/6,692 ft above sea level). From there, a guide will take passengers on a bus tour heading for the wonderful Machu Picchu citadel (2,400 meters/ 7,874 ft above sea level).

The visit to the Sanctuary will take around 3 hours and visitors will walk around the citadel and its palaces and temples, houses and storehouses, and buildings intended for religious ceremonies, such as the luxurious and amazing carved-stone mausoleums. Visitors will have a chance to see the system of streets, paths and stairs connecting buildings, squares and platforms making up the urban sector.

Later, there will be a break to take photos and walk around the citadel until 3:55 p.m., when the train leaves from Aguas Calientes to Cusco (3,350 meters/ 10,990 ft above sea level), arriving at around 8:20 p.m.
