DESCRIPTION

The tour leaves Puerto Madryn in the morning to visit the greatest continental reserve of Magellan’s Penguins. Imagine walking between more than a half million penguins; this is what you will do when arrive at Punta Tombo, with the necessary time to know its habitat and its way of life.

The tour guide will accompany you during the long walk that takes 2 hours. In Punta Tombo the contact with penguins is direct and you will not believe how friendly they are, as long as they are not bothered. There are also other species such as cormorants, seagulls, skuas, giant petrels and oyster birds.

In the evening the tour travels towards Gaiman (pop. 5,000), a typical town of Welsh immigrants who settled here in 1868. Walking along its quiet streets you can go by a dozen of chapels, border the coast of Río Chubut that crosses town from West to East and, of course, enjoy a delicious Welsh Tea (bread, butter, homemade sweets, cakes and exquisite scons) – not included. Do not miss the typical black cake or Welsh cake.

On the way back to the hotel, in Trelew City, the Dinosaur’s Museum Eugidio Feruglio is visited – tiket not included. It is considered the most important in South America and is well known by its Patagonian fossils and dinosaur’s skeletons collection.
